I’m moving from Ubuntu and after trying Fedora and finding it lacking, decided to try SuSE. So far, I like it.
I installed Gnome 3 and it works fine. I’ve also followed the instructions to add the missing Yast menu item back so I have access to the Yast control panel. My question is, other than Yast and software.opensuse.org: Download openSUSE 11.4, where should I be looking for software? Especially stuff that might be “restricted” like codecs, etc.
Am I missing any options or repositories? And what is Packman and should I be using that instead of the other two options?

Hmm checking out that page that I referenced, I see now the recent updates to Packman have made most of my examples obsolete ! Guess I’ll have to update that guide. < sigh >
OK, I updated the how-to guide: openSUSE software installation hints removing the link to a defunct webpin (replacing it with a Link to the packman packager search engine) and replacing the ‘camorama’ example with a ‘tea’ example.
