hi there i download suse linux to install it in my desk to i am running windows xp i try to reboot with suse cd but does not run the installation i did the change the booting options to cd as primary booting but when i do the reboot goes straight to windows i will appreciate any help please i new and ingnorant thanks for any help

The CD could be broken.Have a read of this on the best way to make sure your install disk is up to scratch:

Hello,
Have you tried reading the CD to see if any information is on it? More than likely, after you downloaded the CD you burned it to disk as DATA and NOT as an IMAGE (ISO)file. Go into your burning utility and select burn image or burn boot disc, I don’t know which utility your using to burn but your disc needs to be an image disc in order to boot from the CD drive otherwise it will do just as you said and continue to boot into XP.
