Only thing I would add at this time is:
Generally I would advise anyone using such effects as compiz to NOT use
auto login. If you ask me it’s a security nightmare having it enabled.
WHY: because sometimes the GUI throws a wobbly and you can get to the
desktop. It’s easier for less experienced users to then just login to
icewm to repair the problem.
The, unless you feel really adventurous and tread the kde4 path. Then
there is loads to go at.
Packman repo, I think has lots of Mac effects, trays, etc… you can use
in gnome
i cant get it to connect to the internet tho thats the only problem i’m
gettin and my cisco teachers have tried to help me. . . we’ve replaced
the ethernet card and everything else
You might want to start a new thread on this in the right area, and
use the forum rather than PM’s, then everyone can have input, you will
get better help that way

type su
then your password
