An additional skin has been added called “openSUSE Basic”. This skin takes the vBulletin default skin and adds some color to it.
This skin is a lot easier to maintain and will always have the most up to date functionality in it since it will be updated on every vBulletin update (other skins need to be updated manually).
I admit, it’s not as fancy looking as the others, but give the functionality a try and let me know what you think.
You can select a skin/style in the footer of forum pages.
It is basic by name and indeed it is basic. As mentioned above it does make it very readable. I’ll give it a try for while and see how it goes (not sure about the colours though).
From a theoretical asthetic point of view, I like the openSUSE and openSUSE-forums skins better. But from a practical point of view, I find this new “basic” skin much much much much easier on my eyes. Especially if there is a thread with many posts, the openSUSE skin is simply too hard on my eyes (despite my liking it esthetically) to hunt through multiple posts.
I’ve stopped using the other skins, and now only using this newer skin.
I did say I find this newer skin easier on my eyes?
Nice new skins.
Just noticed it this morning. I was about to start a thread to praise this new improvement when I noticed kgroneman’s announcement.
Well done
