Hello Everyone!
Maybe some of you know, that I am working as IT Professional and freelance author. Just about a month ago, I have finished my latest work “A Beginner’s Guide to Linux”, which has been published on all major book stores. A printed version is being planned for the first quarter of the year 2017.
The book is distro neutral and works with all distributions, it does however focus somewhat on openSUSE and - in some parts - on Ubuntu. Mainly, because both distros are widely used and because I am using openSUSE.
Anyway, with Christmas just a day away and with the spirit of open source in mind, I have decided to offer a free copy to new users until Sunday the 25th. So if you are a new user or if you want to make a gift to someone, who is, this offer might be for you.
In order to get your book, please email me at info@buske-it.com with your name, email (if different from the one you are using) and a short text about how you got to Linux and your experience. If you are planning to get the book as a gift for someone else, please provide their name and email as well, so that they can receive their copy.
Please make use of that offer only, if you are a new user or plan on gifting the book to a person who is. The offer is limited to one copy per person and may not be printed, copied or otherwise duplicated for purposes other than personal use.
Of course, openSUSE developers, contributors and other volunteers, working on the project, will always get free copies as needed. In this case, just send a mail to the same address as above, stating how you are involved in openSUSE, numbers of copies needed and purpose of the copies.
All information sent will be used only by myself for personal use of distribution and publishing. It will not be shared.
If you are interested in purchasing a copy, you can find it at 19,99 or 15.99 (depending on the publisher) in all major app and book stores, or download it at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/683150
Merry Christmas! See you soon,
Ben
