Hi all,
This is my first post.
After some DistroHopping I’m back and cuddling with the Chameleon.
I have used Suselinux back in the late 90’ties and was switching back
to linux 2 years ago.
I have just switched from Ubuntu 8.04 to OpenSuse 11.0 and I must say
that I’m impressed, the Gnome Desktop works exactly as expected.
Now I’m trying to recreate my desktop, but one thing is missing though
!
Where is remind ??
Remind is a famous calendaring software that together with Gxmessage
always have providing me with reminders and todo’s.
I have these repo’s enabled:
Code:
niels@nirvana:~> zypper repos
| Alias | Name | Enabled | Refresh
—±-----------------------------------------±--------------------------±--------±-------
1 | openSUSE-DVD 11.0 | openSUSE-DVD 11.0 | No | No
2 | repo-non-oss | openSUSE-11.0-Non-Oss | Yes | No
3 | http://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/11.0 | NVIDIA Repository | Yes | Yes
4 | Main Repository (NON-OSS) | Main Repository (NON-OSS) | Yes | Yes
5 | Main Repository (OSS) | Main Repository (OSS) | Yes | Yes
6 | repo-oss | openSUSE-11.0-Oss | Yes | No
7 | Packman | Packman | No | Yes
8 | openSUSE-11.0-Updates | openSUSE-11.0-Updates | Yes | Yes
9 | Banshee | Banshee | No | Yes
10 | Packman Repository | Packman Repository | Yes | Yes
11 | repo-debug | openSUSE-11.0-Debug | No | No
12 | VideoLan Repository | VideoLan Repository | Yes | Yes
niels@nirvana:~>
Now I am in doubt about what to do now, I’m not sure it would be a good
idea to just grab the nearest .rpm available, because remind works like
a daemon and should be placed correctly in the filesystem to work
properly.
Anyone here have any hints ?
Thanks in advance

Hi. Search for remind here: ‘Webpin’
(http://packages.opensuse-community.org/ )
You can install it directly from the website via 1-click install.

You can get rid off some repo’s here.
You have the OSS, non-OSS and the packman repo twice.
