Hello there. I just changed from Mint to OpenSUSE Gnome today and am trying to figure out how to change the repos for Firefox to Beta as well as add Thunderbird Beta as well…
Mind you, I would like to not have Firefox standard edition on my system at all…just FIrefox Beta and Thunderbird Beta…

Try this link http://software.opensuse.org/ymp/mozilla:beta/openSUSE_12.3/MozillaFirefox.ymp?base=openSUSE%3A12.3&query=MozillaFirefox
After installation completes open YaST again and switch to beta repo
(look at the drop down(groups) on the left hand side) and install TBird
GNOME 3.6.2
openSUSE Release 12.3 (Dartmouth) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 3.7.10-1.16-desktop
How do I modify the “panel” (top taskbar with the time, activities menu, battery status, etc)?
I want to get rid of the Universal Access Settings button and I hear there is a way to add different “widgets” to the “panel” also…but I am not able to right click to get any further options…

1.)Extensions
install extensions using extensions.gnome.org
Manage extensions using
Tweak tool
Alt+F2==> use command “gnome-tweak-tool” ==> Tab “Shell Extensions”
extension preferences
Alt+F2==> use command “gnome-shell-extension-prefs” ==> change settings
using dropdown
Manage extensions from browser https://extensions.gnome.org/local/
PLEASE
Do not switch subject and go forn new questions in an existing thread. The title of this thread will not cover the contents anymore. You will NOT get the best answers when you hide your question/problem in another thread.
For every question/problem do start a new thread in the best fitting forum (that is the subforum where you think the best specialist will look in to try to give help) and with a good title that will draw the attention of people, knowing about your subject, to your thread.
To others: please do not increase the mess created by people making a mistake in going off topic by answering and doing the same. Point to the fact that a new thread in the correct forum with a good title is much better. Then wait for the appearance off the new thread to provide your help. This will create thread that are usefull and easy to find for others.

aren’t those terms (widgets and panel) the standard KDE terms?
did you want GNOME, or maybe KDE? (or a GNOME which looks like KDE?)
sorry, i have no idea what you used on MINT–or what they even
offer…but, i do know it is a Debian derivative so you might
find this thread useful http://tinyurl.com/ubuntu-to-openSUSE
