New Carreer

Hi, I am currently looking for a carreer with linux based, as I think windows will be obsolete in a matter of time. I have installed I think it was ubuntu, with the beryl skin, and thought it was great, so, I was wondering what courses I should take to get started, Money isn’t too too much of an issue. I just need to know somewhere to start, and what would be a good thing to specialize in. Thank you so much.

go to your nearest university and sign up for computer engineering, and
take a minor in business…

Windows will play a big role for quite some years more, at least. So unless you are a very slow learner, I wouldn’t base my career on Linux only.

You can have a successful career only learning Linux today. There are jobs for dedicated Linux admins.

There are Linux+ certifications, as well as the Red Hat Certified Engineer program (which is pretty expensive).

However, it all depends on what you want to do. Do you want to program, do web development, server (systems) work, networking, database administrator, etc.

You think you installed Ubuntu? Now you want to be a sysadmin?
