This morgen i downloaded it and install " the hard way "
Runs quicker as 256.25 on opensuse 11.2 Kde4.4.3
Alien arena and openarena have more FPM. +/ 10%
According to phoronix, 256.25 drivers were significantly slower than the 195’series, at least for some graphic cards/motherboard combination. 256.29 aims at fixing this issue.
Would be nice to know if it ran quicker than 195 series.
I had the 256.25 on my 11.3 M7 machine (kde4) and felt delays when closing windows and such, updated to 256.29 and that feels as smooth now as the 195 on the machine I am typing this.
