When I start my Acer laptop on battery I can’t use my WiFi connection in NetworkManager. It does not start.
My suspicion is that NetworkManager want to preserve power and refuses to start the WiFi connection.
How can I make NetworkManager, when on battery, start my WiFi connection?
Check your BIOS power settings. Perhaps your BIOS is disabling the network card when on battery.
Open a terminal
NetworkManager
And send me the output.
My BIOS has very limited setup possibilities and nothing to set WiFi on or off when on battery.
Apparently a recent update did solve the problem I had. My laptop now starts the WiFi on battery.
