NetworkManager chooses LTE or UMTS instead of Edge

How can I make the NetworkManager (or wicked, I never tried) to choose Edge, which is much faster here, compared to UMTS.

The NM tells me 0% LTE, it tries to connect and fails. After some minutes it tries to connect via UMTS – signal strength 25% – and gets a miserabel connection.

If I could make switch it to Edge I’d have a much better connection!

Have you tried opening up NM and creating a new connection according to your preferences?
While there, you can also disable any connections you prefer not to use.
