I have a problem with my NetworkManager. Firstly it doesn’t display in my system manager at the bottom anymore. Secondly I can connect to my home network but cannot connect to the Internet. There is no problem with my Internet connection as other computers can connect perfectly.
The problem started literally out of nowhere. I have tried changing my network to traditional ifup but still the problem persists. I have also searched on google and these forums but nothing I have found fixes my problem. I then decided to reinstall opensuse. So I decided to reinstall. the problem persisted.
I decided I might as well install opensuse 12.1 out of desperation. The problem was semi fixed. I now am able to browse the web but I still cannot install any software nor use anything other than firefox to connect to the internet.
To get this working is of utmost importance as web pages I need to code asap.

Have you tried disabling IPv6 for the entire system (I believe it is
enabled by default still) or in individual applications where possible?
Post the output to the following commands:
ip -s link
grep -v ‘^#’ /etc/resolv.conf
grep -v ‘^#’ /etc/hosts
ping -c 3 google.com
ping -c 3 126.96.36.199
/sbin/lsmod | grep -i ipv6

I got it working by rebooting and doing other strange things. Thanks for your input
