I’m new to Linux. I’m running a laptop on which I installed openSUSE a while ago, but the network is very slow. Updates don’t complete even after leaving it on all night. Opening a website takes a while. It’s a recent AMD laptop; It dual boots Windows 8 and the network works fine there. The Network card is Realtek RTL8723AE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC. Ask me for more details if you need. What’s wrong with it?

I’m running the latest version 13.1.
That link didn’t help because the guy had to buy a new network card for his laptop. I don’t want to do that yet. Can you help me diagnose the problem?
