Network not available

I am on Opensuse 11.1. I have done a fresh installation and the wired network is not available. I have made the configurations through Network Seetings in YaST (Traditional method with ifup, Static IP, Subnet Mask, Name server etc.) I even verified that the DNS settings have been written to resolve.conf

I have restarted the network manager (rcnetwork restart eth0) but it hasn’t helped

Any directions on approaching this issue will be deeply appreciated.

openSUSE 11.1 has been End of Life since January 14th 2011, it has no repositories, drivers or anything else available and it’s out of date horribly - in addition to this it has no security patches and is vulnerable out of the box.

Please download openSUSE 13.1 from; openSUSE Leap - Get openSUSE
