Network Manager just out of the blue becomes disabled on toolbar opensuse 11.3

Network Manager works for a while on Sony Vaio notebook and then it will become disable. Is there an easy way to enable it. I have installed 4 or 5 times to get it enabled. There must be a simpler way then reinstalling opensuse 11.3

Might be a feature :). Sure you’re loosing connection as well ?

Right click next to an icon in the systray, you should see ‘Configure System Tray’ or something like that. A screen will open, the networkmanager should be checked in the first screen. Then go ‘Items’, set the networkmanager to ‘Always visible’. That should be it.

Good luck, let us know if this worked

Hello I too have had this problem. I installed opensuse 11.3 and as of yesterday my network manager will not connect. When i have checked it in the systray it shows Network management disabled. for the life of me I can not find a way to start managing it again. I have tried to connect to known good wireless signals and to wired signals I am unable to get my laptop on the internet. I have an acer aspire 5520-5334. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I love this distro and do not want to have to try another.

Thank you in advance.
