Each time i boot the wifi connection is down, If I then do a network restart it comes up fine. I checked Network Settings in yast and its set to start on boot. I am running wicked and not Network Manager.
Any ideas?
TIA

Thanks, hopefully they will sort it out. As of the last update i still have the issue.

Last update is exactly where this bug was introduced. Revert to previous version and lock it until it is fixed.

Can you tell me what version(s) to roll back to? I tried an earlier version but it made no difference so I’m thinking I’m not getting the proper working version.

There are only two versions in Leap 15.1 repositories; original before update is 2.6-lp151.4.4.

I tried an earlier version but it made no difference so I’m thinking I’m not getting the proper working version.

Install previous version; reboot. If you still have issues on boot, provide output of “rpm -q wpa_supplicant; ip l; ip a; journalctl -b” (will be rather long so better upload to https://susepaste.org).

Well… this is just ducky! I rolled wpa_supplicant back to 151.4.4 and now I have NO network at all. So, I’m done. Screw trying to get things fixed, I’ll wait for a normal release. I will find a usb key and get something out of my regular backups and transfer that to my laptop in order to get it running again. Oh and yes, there is more than a single version choice,at least on my laptop there is, there are a lot of them.

Post as root:

rpm -qa wpa_supp*
