I installed v13.1 on 20th March 2014 - this was from a Live CD from a magazine - which works - previous zypper upgrade from 12.3 failed - crashing of KDE components.
I have noticed that the downloads are very large - so in checking i am receiving many TCP re-transmissions whereas before generally 99% ok. Re-transmissions are approximately 50%.
What i am not sure is whether this is a 13.1 bug, whether it is due to me overwriting an existing installation with 13.1 (was 12.3), or other.
What is the best way to force the system to update everything - just in case a remnant from 12.3 exists in a library or daemon for example ??. Thanks.
I dop not know that life CD, but when you did an installation that reformatted the root partition, there is nothing left from the old system. When you had a separate /home partition and kept that, there should be no system components on it, so that is irrelevant.

Seems to be functioning ok.
Using wireshark - everything seems to be repeated - duplicate ACK’s, Transmission, Application data etc.
It may be that i have selected two interfaces to monitor - but i would have though wireshark would not modify them as duplicate ACK’s or application data - but just record them.
