Network configuration for SUSE 11

Hi,

I’m installing SUSE11, and need to connect to Internet using Tata Indicom Broadband connection working through LAN card.

This connection works properly under Windows XP, however, I could not configure it in SUSE.

Once I managed to configure it (I don’t know how!!!), but the connection was too slow.

Please help me in this regard.

I need to know how to configure:

  1. LAN card (Realtek)
  2. Internet connection

with best regards,

Madhav.

If you ware using the dhcp or static connection methods, please modify
/etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth0 fufill your requirement.
If you are using pppoe connection method, you can refer to the following post.
Bryan technical world: Using pppoe connect to internet (kde or gnome) on openSUSE

Thanks Bryan

that link helped to solve my internet connection problem. I think that anyone who has problem connect to net should look at that link first.
