Network card driver issue

Okay so i would like to start by saying that this is my first Linux install and I have very little idea what I am doing. I installed opensuse 13.1 months ago and my wireless network card was not working. I tried a couple of things but quickly realized I had no idea what I was doing. I decided to revisit the problem a few days ago and have still gotten nowhere.

My card is an Asus PCE-N53, when I run the lspci grep command I see Network controller: Ralink corp. Device 5592. Also, it shows Ethernet controller: Realtek semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 06), though I think the second one in the on board Ethernet controller. Please help a guy who has no idea what he’s doing and would really love to connect to the internet once more.

Go to the wireless forum and read the stickies there. That will give you a
better idea of some things to look for in the logs, and how to report exactly
what device you have,
