network cable

hi

i would like to buy network cable cat 6

on this page,

Cat 6 Network Cable - 1000ft Bulk Cable

it seem to have 2 kind of cable

UTP Solid Cable
and
UTP Stranded Cable

somebody can explain me the difference?

thanks

Hi
Stranded is generally used for patch cables etc where some flexibility
is required, solid core for infrastructure so it can be punched down in
connectors, patch panels etc.

Whilst you can use solid cable for attaching RJ-45 plugs the ones for
solid cable differ for stranded. The difference is in the prongs and
how they penetrate the outer sheath and displace the copper.
