Network at startup?

I am currently running suse 11.2 64 bit, 4 gig ram but I have the following problem with connecting to my router at switch on.

When I first switch on the computer, which is single boot, the network light on my router is showing active, access to the internet, but when I try to connect using firefox it appears that I am connected. To get over this I have to pull the ethernet cable out of the router and plug it back in and it then all works.

Any ideas please??

I may have solved it, please don’t laugh but I went into yast/dsl devices and installed/entered my settings and I just powered down and powered back up and it works. :stuck_out_tongue:
