I am an openSUSE noob and this is my 1st post! I look forward to your replies.
I am currently running openSUSE 11.4 as a VM in vSphere 5 AND a VM in Hyper-V/SCOM environment.
The VM installs and runs without issue - until I perform a manual migration to a new host OR HA migrates the VM on it’s own. Every failover causes the network adapters to fail. Is there a way for an openSUSE VM to maintain it’s NIC during a move to a new host? Removing net persistent rules will correct the issue, but is not a good long term solution.
Thoughts?
