NetGear WG311T (atheros AR5212) + 11.1?

Hello all,

I am currently running Netgear WG311T WIFI card in OpenSUSE 11.0 without any problems using Madwifi. Now that 11.1 is out I want to try it.

I heard good things and bad things about Ath5k in the kernel. Does it support my card out of the box? Does anyone else have this chip and how was your experience in 11.1?

Reason I am asking is because I have no HD space left to do a dual boot or know how to run 11.1 in a vmware setting. Any experiences welcome.

Since 2 weeks i use suse 11.0 and my WG311T nic is working
properly !
I can recommend this nic .

Thank you for your reply but I am actually looking for someone who installed 11.1. :slight_smile:

I installed 11.1 and can confirm the WG311t works out of the box. The Ath5k module works like a charm. Just configure the network settings and it works.
