Netbeans update

Hi

I’m a Linux novice and I’m looking to update the netbeans from the 6.8 to version 7.0.

What’s the best way to do this, can I just do a search in Yast and delete the 6.8 before I download and run the 7.0 script? Or should I do a side by side install?

How did you install Netbeans?From a repository or direct download?

Hi, it was installed during the suse installation so I’m making the assumption it’s the repository listed in yast which is openSUSE 11.4 OSS

The repository hasnt been updated yet as per my findings.You could either wait or download the one from Netbeans.You can remove the older Netbeans.
