need to change ip of brother scanner

I know this should be simple but… Could someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong?

old ip=192.168.1.114
new ip=192.168.12.114

Here’s what I’ve tried:

localhost:~ # brsaneconfig4 -r name=8850
localhost:~ # brsaneconfig4 -a name=8850 model=mfc-l8850cdw ip=192.168.12.114
"8850" is already registered.
localhost:~ # brsaneconfig4 -q
* *mfc-l8850cdw  192.168.1.114]  8850

A mistake with your syntax. When removing the existing configuration do

brsaneconfig4 -r 8850

Now it won’t be listed…

[FONT=arial]brsaneconfig4 -q[/FONT]
