For some reason my BlackBerry will not mount when I plug it into the computer via usb.
I have the phone set to mass storage mode, but when I plug it in nothing happens.
I tried my daughters phone and it mounts like it’s supposed to.
I checked with the command hwinfo and it seems that the phone is recognized. Is it being recognized as a mountable device?

Checked out the help file but I’m afraid that I don’t understand what parameters to use etc.
It could be that the problem is with the phone and I’m going to check with my carrier also.
Just talked to customer support. They claim that only way to transfer files via usb cable is through the desktop manager software which is only available for Windows and Mac.

Which blackberry version? If the same as mine (a blackberry 8310), then they are wrong.
I connect my blackberry to my openSUSE-11.2 PC all the time. It works fine. Here is an old thread I had on this: Learning about Blackberry and openSUSE - neat - openSUSE Forums
