I would like a recommendation for a pci wireless card for a brand new 11.0 installation. Must be extremely compatible with minimal fuss installing. Card recommended should be currently available in stores.

I’d suggest that if you want minimal fuss installing, that you simply choose a
different distro. The problem that so many are having here is the fault of this
distro, not the fault of most wireless devices.
For example, I have 3 different wifi devices, that all run ‘out-of-the-box’ on
another Linux distro (i.e. right from the LIveCD), yet on openSUSE 11.0, I had
to hack around alot, download firmware, (and fight some initial bugs in network
manager, etc) to get them to work.
So my recommendation is to simply pick the cheapest one from a local store, take
it home, and install it. If it goes well, keep it. If not, most stores (here in the US)
have 30-day return policies.
At the least, you’ll learn something, no matter which way your luck runs.
