Trying to use Yast first boot for invoking scripts after executing first boot workflow but the sample scripts placed in the defaults location doesn’t show any signs of it’s getting invoked. Not able to find anything in the Yast (/var/log/Yast2/)logs.
Can someone help me understand what I am doing wrong.

You have chosen OTHER VERSION as the version of openSUSE you use. Which means you run an unsupported version. That in itself does not mean that people will not try to help you, but you then have to specify your version in your thread. Else it will be the more difficult for people to understand what you are doing with what.
And please always call things by name. Thus do not say “the default location”, but say what you think that location is.
