Need help enabling Bluetooth dongle

I took a working BlueNext USB wifi dongle from a netbook running openSuse 12.3 to a new laptop, also running 12.3

In the laptop the device does not appear to be recognised and there is no “enable wireless” option in network management.

Following directions in the sticky post I did the following:

> /usr/bin/lsusb
...
Bus 003 Device 008: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)
...

I then looked through dmesg listings and found the device but there is no apparent missing firmware:

usb 3-1: new full-speed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd
usb 3-1: new USB device found, idVendor=0a12, idProduct=0001
usb 3-1: new USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=2, serialNumber=0
usb 3-1: Product: BT2.0

Next, I tried:

> /usr/sbin/iwconfig
>
> lo no wireless extensions
>
> eth0 no wireless extensions

How can I proceed?

Thanks,

Abe
