Need firewall help,

Hey,as topic says i need nice firewall.
At the moment i’m trying to run opensnitch and shorewall,but with no success.

Welcome to openSUSE Forums. Please be more specific about your technical issues. What have you tried and what is not working as expected? Are you following any particular guide?

FWIW, here’s a great introductory article about using both Firewalld and OpenSnitch together to help with online security…

It is a Fedora-based article but the principles apply to openSUSE as well. It might answer some of the questions you have.

Hey installed both the firewalld and opensnitch from the site you provided.
But the opensnitch does not launching after a system restart.
Do i have to launch it manyally with this command ?

It seems the service is loaded,but i don’t get the applet.

So do you get an applet icon appear in the desktop system tray? Which desktop environment?

The DE is XFCE.
