I just borked my Suse system completely. I had to reinstall it. I’m wondering if there is a program that will let me create a restore DVD or set of DVDs, so in the event of a disaster, I could just pop a DVD in, reboot, and it would prompt for the next DVD then the next, and restore everything just like an install DVD.
There’s imaging software such as partimage or Ghost, but in all of the time I used these, it wasn’t worth the trouble. Backing up your important data and having a live CD should be enough to keep you in business.

Borking your system to a needed complete reinstall is not that easy. For a next time I suggest you search help first. Like chief_sealth says, a backup and a LiveCD shoud be enough to bring your system back to life.
