Outlaw? for one to be an outlaw one must break a law. Since there is
no “Internet Law” which covers the entire earth (yet) the only laws that
can be broken are those set by the individual
countries/regions/states/etc. so, the answer to “Is Anonymous and
outlaw?” is: it depends [on the laws where each (and any) Anonymous
person performs an act. some act performed in some states/countries are
illegal, but the same acts performed in other governmental districts] -
Cyber Rebel? in order for there to be a rebel there must be an
“established authority” against which to rebel. as already noted there
is not a world wide established standard (law) or authority in place for
either the Internet or its included World Wide Web…so, there can by
definition be no world wide rebel…while they may appear as if they
are Internet Rebels, they are as yet only apparently so… -
Myth? not a chance…ask any company, country, or individual who has
been attacked.
the law, especially on an international scale is FAR behind the
technology…so, enjoy the freedom while it lasts…it won’t forever
(eventually it will be a crime to carry a concealed weapon (or port
scanner, et al) in cyberspace.
