need an '# apt-get install package' for opensuse-11.2

openSUSE’s yast2–>install software and debian’s synaptic are operationally equivalent.
However, if one knows the name of the package then has opensuse an command line equivalent of debian’s time-saving ‘#apt-get install package’?

Thanks.

How about openSUSE’s time-saving:

#zypper install package

Zypper/Usage/11.2 - openSUSE

Alias “zypper in” maybe?
Or just use zypper in, it’s not that hard to type or remember.

Thank you. I noticed its name in the package list in ‘Install software’ but did not know
what it can do.
Except for names all the linux distros semm to be converging together.
