I am not brand new to Linux but am new to KDE and SUSE 11.0. I just installed openSUSE 11.0 KDE 3.5 to my main desktop. During the install, my monitor and video card were not detected correctly. It finished on it’s own but looked funny. Then I enabled the nvidia repo and a few others, installed the nvidia driver, ran nvidia-xconfig in the terminal and rebooted. During the boot, I got a message something to the effect of “Configuration was not successful” you must enter more information. Then after I selected yes, it started autoconfiguration again, failed then booted to the login screen.
Here is me first real issue, I open YaST2, select the hardware tab, then select Graphics Card and Monitor. It flashes for a second back to a login prompt and right back to the desktop where I was at. I can not get this to auto detect my hardware. Here is a little info:

My monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 205BW that is normally detected just fine. Not sure what’s up this time
I am not really sure what to do next. Something is not configured and I am not sure where to look.
Any help would be appreciated.
