Hello all,
I have the following information when trying to use YAST2 to install ndiswrapper:
hnme:~/INSTALLATIONS/NDISWRAPPER/RPM # ls
ndiswrapper-1.53-6.1.x86_64.rpm
ndiswrapper-debuginfo-1.53-6.1.x86_64.rpm
ndiswrapper-kmp-default-1.53_2.6.22.18_0.2-6.1.x86_64.rpm
hnme:~/INSTALLATIONS/NDISWRAPPER/RPM # uname -a
Linux hnme 2.6.22.5-31-default #1 SMP 2007/09/21 22:29:00 UTC x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
When going to YAST2, I get the following dependencies:
kernel(default:vmlinux)
kernel(default:drivers_usb_core)
What does this mean? How can you get around this? I am using Opensuse 10.3 which is supposed to be like SLES10
TIA

have you tried installing the ndiswrapper that comes with openSUSE ?
Andy
I don’t have any other CDs other than the one that is used for installation purposes. Would any of the ones mentioned above (with the “RPM Search”) work?
TIA
install ndiswrapper from here using one-click install Webpin
or add this to your repo list ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/10.3/repo/oss/suse/x86_64
Andy
Hello and thanks for the pointers to the ndiswrappers.
These installed with no problem but the USB wireless is still not being recognized.
What can I do now?
make/model of device ? output of lsusb ? which drivers are you using ? using ifup or network manager ? just a few Q’s
Andy
