I have openSuSe 11.2 64 bit installed on an Acer ASPIRE 5536. When I attempt to install a number of wireless drivers using ndiswrapper I get an error that says one time, model section not found or the next time install section not found, then says install incomplete. When I run ndiswrapper -l it says invalid driver. Any and all help appreciated.
Please note that I am not using the internal wireless so I also added the output from lsusb

OK, I downloaded and tried to install, but since I can not connect…I duel boot with windows 7…it wouldn’t install. I do not have a wired connection. what can I do to install without a connection?
Question: Why are you using the dongle?
I see the Belkin device in you lsusb output. The internal wireless is supported, if it does not work like it should it’s something in the configuration, that would very likely make another card a non working one too.
My neighbor is sharing his connection with me via wireless. I have to have a dongle attached to a usb extention which is outside in order to connect to his wireless. it all works in windows…at home but not in SuSe, which I prefer…I will download the compat-wireless with windows and install it in SuSe.

I do not generally touch problems with ndiswrapper, but I make an
exception here.
Windows 64-bit wireless drivers are buggier than those for 32-bit
Windows, particularly the ones for XP. AFAIK, drivers for Vista and 7 do
not work well with ndiswrapper, thus you had better try to follow the
advice that you have been given.
Most likely, yes, because both devices are supported natively (ath9k for internal, zd1211rw for USB dongle), only the AR928X might need a little help from compat-wireless.
However, even with the newer and “shinier” driver false configuration will prevent both from working,
Still, as there is no information on configuration (hint: stickies in this subforum), this is only guessing.
In any way, ndiswrapper is the wrong choice and will make things at least unnecessarily complicated.
Just thought I would let you all know I solved my connection issues. First let me thank everyone who gave great answers, but in the long run I was unable to get my problem solved so I installed fedora 12 64 bit and everything works without any extra configuration…
