Nagging authorization dialogs for hermes.opensuse.org out of nowhere!

Hi, I’m using KDE 4.6.2 on OpenSUSE 11.4 and suddenly I’m getting this KDE authorization dialog popping up telling me

You have to supply a user name and a password for this computer

(wording might differ, I translated from German) and

Computer: Use your novell account at hermes.opensuse.org

It happened the first time yesterday. I can cancel the dialog but it always reappears after a couple of minutes.

I have no idea why this dialog pops up. I have never heard of hermes before.

I did a little research and it looks like hermes is some kind of notification service for stuff going on on opensuse.org. I searched my installed packages but found nothing helpfull.

I opened hermes.opensuse.org and was asked to log in using my novell credentials, which I did. I got a configuration page for subscriptions to openFATE and OBS, neither I have a used ever, so I left the page untouched.

I even did log in to the above mentioned dialog once in the hope it will do no harm and of course tell me at least afterwards what this is all about. The dialog disappeared and that was all I got to see. Well not entirely, it kept coming back nagging like it allways does now.

So what is this about? Why is there something asking for credentials without me having it installed or enabled before?

Thanks for any help!
