My wireless doesnt work!

terminal.”

No, I will not lern how to use the command line. I will just not install opensuse anymore. Its 2009, my wireless works with other distros, opensuse is so beautiful, but i have not time to learn, i want to use. Delete my topic, but take a look at pclinuxos or even ubuntu.
Cheers and do more.

Funny, I was using Ubuntu for over a year and seemed to have never-ending probs with wireless when they updated to 8.1 (Intrepid Ibex). I noticed from their forums that this was a huge, wide ranging issue common to that distro and was somewhat surprised that Conical never issued an update to rectify the issue let alone a work around. Very sloppy IMHO.

Out of frustration and research, I had opensuse installed instead. Opensuse, IMHO is far more stable than Intrepid, and it has a by far superior support base though these forums - questions actually get answered!

Thanks to all who have helped this noobie in his quest to support linux as it grows to take on the big guys.

Much appreciated!

So, do you forbid your carpenter to use a hammer because it isn’t a
power tool?

The bottom line is that setting up wireless needs some tools that have
never been incorporated into GUI’s. You have the right not to use
command-line tools, but I, for one, will still need to use them for
some operations.
