got a suse 11 version from the easy linux magazine (aug./sep. 08, german) that does´nt boot. bios is changed to cd first, but nothing happens. and i´d like so strongely linux on my pc. anyone out there for a little help (english or german)?

Make sure the disc is a bootable disc. Some magazines pack .iso files on as data, which you have to burn yourself. Though in most cases they do actually make the disc bootable, just not always for the distro you want. Check your magazine instructions. And if possible, try another disc that you know works - in your drive.
