my question

why nobody would answer my question
i am the only one in this forum without a response
i ve repeated twice my thread but the forum’s admins neglected me
suse sucks anyway, i will go back to redhat, at least they ve noticed my duplicated post last time
>:(:frowning:

Thanks for telling us you have duplicated a post, i will close the duplicate. As for no response, you are not alone, quite a few people have no response.Blaming Admins for no response makes no sense, just be patient,we are all volunteers on the forum, with personal,full-time jobs.
Maybe the person who has the answer hasn’t been on the forum yet, or could be on holiday.
Patience is the answer,Rome wasn’t built in a day, and, if the problem is mission-critical & you purchased your version of openSUSE,you could call Tech-support

Andy

Did they lock your thread? I guess you could call that being noticed >:)

not yet dude, but i will answer my question posted here
installing DNS server - openSUSE Forums
and the first one is here
](http://forums.opensuse.org/network-internet/392780-setup-dns-server-correct-mx-records-suse10-3-a.html)
since everybody are on holidays and also the person who has the answer hasn’t been on the forum yet i will volunteer and answer myself::
for those who want to install zimbra mail server there two main difficult steps:
configuration before installing
create valid DNS with MX (mail exchange) records

i am now stuck in the second step
here is the solution
if you are using (the hated) suse 10.3 follow this tutorial
http://www.zimbrablog.com/blog/archives/2007/06/making-zimbra-bind-work-together.html/
and just avoid the caching-name-server package(optional step) which is not included with suse dist.
if you wanna now what’s this “caching-name-server” visit this page:
](http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=8&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nominum.com%2Fproducts%2Fcaching_name_server.php&ei=jt2lSMmwD4my0gWoxLjMDg&usg=AFQjCNEp2UJEdA6gZT1mPCGjpihlsbC5wQ&sig2=XyxPDkeuRqGHQUZLihAWpQ)

i am now working with zimbra and zimbra desktop as UI
so any question??

Based on this… you didn’t NEED us at all! Congrats! Must be amazing to be
both arrogant AND smart.

And if you hate Suse 10.3…, why’d you try Suse 11.0? I mean, if I hated
Ford cars, I certainly wouldn’t get another one…

Heck, I don’t even know what the original question WAS!

Someone’s already mentioned that we’re a group of volunteers… we help
people because we like to do this… not because we have to do this.

We also do other things, so someone with the knowledge necessary to answer
your queries might not have read it yet.

If you want an immediate response to your queries, I suggest a
pay-per-question or phone support solution might be your best endeavor.

I searched for your initial question postings…

First post, new thread, late last night.
Second post, (another) new thread, this morning. (11 hours later)
Third post, (yet another) new thread, 5 hours later, bitching because we’re
not leaping to attend your needs.

Wow.

I don’t see why one would need to install a DNS server to run a mail server
anyways… but I guess you say it’s required for zimba.

And a personal pet peeve… since when does the word “PLEASE” not contain any
vowels, and lots of 'z’s? You’re very difficult to understand. I won’t hold
being from Tunisia against you though.

{Grin} But hey! you answered your own questions… so you don’t need us
anymore. Congratulations.
