My password is exposed

Hi!
I am fairly new to openSuse, and my password is next to my sign on. Instead of showing Dave and then say for example Optiplex320, or Computer, it gives away my password. I have looked for a way to change this, and I have not, can you give me a hand on solving this riddle?

Thanks,

Go to YaST>User and group management and see if you can solve the problem there; if not, create a new user and if that works ok, copy over the files in /home/user1 to /home/user2; whether you need to copy over some hidden files will depend on which desktop and applications you are using. Once you are happy that user2 is working fine, go back to YaST and delete user1 and their folder in /home.

PROBLEM SOLVED

John;
Thank you for the advice. On another OS upon installation Microsoft wants a computer name… and that is what I thought SUSE was doing. When I first installed SUSE, I chose automatic login. Changing this option to “password encryption” solved my problem.

Thank you very much!
