My own gui

I’ve been doing programming for a while, so I was wondering how I can create my own GUI for the os that I am working on(as in i want to create the desktop and stuff like that my self)?
By the way I was wondering if I could get to the source code?

I am not sure if I undestood this the correct way, but if you want the
source code for an existing gui you simply need to install the source
packages with zypper (the option source-install) for example

sudo zypper si kdelibs4

will install the sources for kdelibs4 and you can do that for any package
you want.

openSUSE 11.3 64 bit | Intel Core2 Duo T9300@2.50GHz | Gnome 2.30 | Quadro
FX 3600M | 4GB Ram

Or you watch at the FTP-Server of the developers of the GUI…

And where is it saved?

Hi
If you install the src rpm it’s installed in /usr/src/packages.
