My HP P1006 doesn't print

This is an old problem I think. I’ve read many posts.
A guy says here that solved the issue.

The printer prints with ubuntu live cd.

I deleted the printer from the list and I followed the instructions here.

When I tried to print, sometimes it shows that the documents was printed (but my printer is standby) sometimes it shows the document failed.

What do I have to do?

Which of the instructions on http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:How_to_set-
up_a_HP_printer did you use (there are several possibilities).
Do you use
1: the standard hplip from the standard repository
2: a differnt hplip but also from an repository which you added (which one)
or
3: the hplip installer from the hplipopensource site

If you did not yet try number 3, I would give it a try since it has the most
recent hplip which possibly contains a bugfix you need (just a guess).

You may also compare which version of hplip is used on the ubuntu live cd
(which works for you) and the version you use now and does not work.

I also have a hp printer (color laserjet 1600) for my private use which
often made problems with the hplip shipped with opensuse, for that model I
had to use foo2hp from http://foo2hp.rkkda.com/ to make it work (did not try
this printer with 11.3 yet it is connected to my 11.2 machine) and the other
machines print over the network.
