My computer seems to have died

I was watching a video and everything froze. No cursor and no response from the keyboard. I rebooted and got an error message that said it couldn’t boot from the hd and to insert a bootable drive. I did have a TW net install drive so I inserted that and got the first screen but there was no response to my keyboard. There was a timer countdown but nothing happened when it timed out.

I’m just looking for a little troubleshooting help, like how to test if the MB is still good or how to tell if it’s the NVME drive, or maybe memory.

The computer is one I built myself and is 7 years old so I’m not surprised it may have given out.

Any ideas anyone?

@pilotgi Can you get to the system BIOS?

No. No matter how many times I press F12, it won’t take me to the BIOS.

the hot key for that is dependent on the machine the startup bios windows often has the key on it. may not be F12

The splash screen for the BIOS says its F12.

If you can’t get into the BIOS, sounds like something more fundamental is wrong than at the OS level. What od you see on the screen? Do you hear any beep codes?
