I would like to ask this here:
Why is the Music Player Daemon (mpd) version on Tumbleweed (20250630, as updated today) outdated?
- Tumbleweed has 0.23.17
- The latest one is 0.24.4
Usually, such a delay did not occur. Thanks in advance.

@malcolmlewis As they say, in principle yes. But I feel this would be a huge project for me … much too huge and probably above my head and knowledge as of now, for several reasons.
I figure there is an “official” maintainer for mpd on openSUSE.
Remark: I am a bit reluctant to post on the developer mailing list, which I am subscribed to in order to be informed of welcome and unwelcome developments wrt Tumbleweed. I did also notice the discussion on git/OBS changes …
