Welcome.
It depends on the game; if it’s supported with WINE, then you can use
WINE to run it.
If it’s not, it may still work under something like Crossover Office,
which uses WINE plus some additional tweaks (and provides a good UI
experience as well; I own it and quite like it).
But there’s on way to answer the question generically. Some games will
work, others won’t.

Welcome to the forums!
As have already been suggested WineHQ and Crossover Games are excellent resources. Crossover even helps with installing the games with their “cross tie” installers. Note the “officially supported” games are relatively few, but other “unsupported” games run too.
Valve’s Steam client is also now available for Linux - though there are only a few games out yet, but the portfolio is (slowly) growing.
Try wine / cross over and the game specific tips at WineHQ and the Crossover site and if you get stuck then see if someone here can help.
