Is it possible to watch avi.wmv files on Linux??
I tried up with Totem and Banshee but it doesn’t work…

In most cases, yes. Please see http://en.opensuse.org/Restricted_Formats
(I say “in most cases” because AFAIK if WMV files include DRM, then you
need to use software that isn’t available on Linux).
