hi! i can’t install multimedia codec, after installing i restart PC and then
linux writes error kde4int
i hadn’t this error before, it begins after installing new monitor Samsung syncmaster B1940

What version of openSUSE? What graphics card do you have?

ati radeon X1600
monitor samsung syncmaster B1940

You could try starting with a fresh KDE4 configuration. At the KDM (login) screen press Control+Alt+F1 and login with your username and password. Once you have logged on type this and press [ENTER]:


mv ~/.kde4 ~/.kde4-old

Then type this and press [ENTER]:


logout

Then press Control+Alt+F7 to get back to KDM (login screen). Can you login now?

Try to install ati drivers ATI Radeon X1600 drivers

Looking at AMD’s website the last version of Linux Catalyst to support that graphics card (X1600) was version 9.3 (Released March 2009). AFAIK it is not compatible with openSUSE 11.3. The open source driver may be the only option for 11.3.

someone is in our chat… so fter operator mv ~/.kde4 ~/.kde4-old i can log on, but
multimedia doesn’t install
when i do Multi-media and Restricted Format Installation Guide after every lib it writes
Solution 1: do not install libquicktime0-1.2.2-101.pm.101.2.x86_64
Solution 2: break libquicktime0 by ignoring some of its dependencies

Choose from above solutions by number or skip, retry or cancel
and multimedia doesn’t work…

You need to uninstall libquicktime for the openSUSE repoistory. Search for libquicktime and delete this file. Then you need to install the following file from Packman:

libquicktime0-1.2.2-101.pm.101.2-x86_64 -> http://packman.links2linux.de

When doing a search on libquicktime, both should show up and you delete one and install the other and everything should be OK.
