I tried k3b to read an AVI movie file and it seemed to recognize the AVI file format; however, I don’t know how a k3b can be used to transcode the AVI movie file into a DVD format to burn on a DVD disc. So, can anyone please tell me which software packages do I need to install on an OpenSuSE 11.2 so that I can convert an AVI movie file into a DVD format to burn on a DVD disc?
Wow …, that was a very quick response. Thanks for the suggestion. I have installed devede package and it is running on my AMD64 Phenom X3 with OpenSuSE 11.2. The program is capable of using all three CPUs.
Glad to share my own experience here:
1)Use Pavtube video converter to transcode AVI files to DVD(.vob)format
2)Use Imgburn to burn .vob to a blank DVD disc
