I need to install opensuse onto a second HDD (IDE) which is blank at present, while still using WinXp on a sata drive. I can select boot priority of drive in my bios but what options should I choose on installation to get a correct boot? I did it once before, instructions weren’t too clear, and couldn’t get it booting properly which then had to recover windows. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Simply bootloader will be installed in the first physical drive, unless specified to a deferent location.
So just run opensuse installation.Select opensuse to be installed on the second drive.
Boot loader - GRUB - will be installed in the first.There is no need for changes.
